The Larches, hotel in Wolverhampton

The Larches offers accommodations in Wolverhampton, 7.7 miles from Chillington Hall and 14 miles from Arena Birmingham.

To be honest, my expectations weren't great as I was wary of the self check in etc. Jay, the manager, was quick to answer any questions & I must say, the self check in worked well. The room had a fridge ( bottled water provided) microwave, cutlery & crockery for anyone who needed to do a bit of self catering. My husband was really happy with the good quality fan as he feels the heat. We were able to leave the bathroom window open as well. Fabulous bathroom with big bath & such hot water. Bed was comfortable, linen & towels were snow white. All in all a lovely place to stay. The only reason I didn't give a 10 was the rocky toilet seat, however, a message to tell Jay & he's reported it to maintenance already. Also, the people in the room above were noisy. Floors should have been soundproofed when apartments were made. It was a really nice overnight stay.

Wolverhampton is a fantastic place to be love a bit of Black Country file…but unfortunately we turned up at a property booked and payed for that was non existent having to seek further accommodation as it was late at night after trying to contact host outside location for 3 hours with two children and my partner…we then went to the Novotel who were very accommodating and had a really nice stay breakfast was fantastic 👍🏻

The city of Wolverhampton is amazingly only a short and very pleasant, easy 7 mile drive of the inner-ring road, reached through the lovely leafy suburb of Tettenhall. There are numerous museums within a 10 mile radius related to the Black Country. A number of these Museums are 'Living' Museums, depicting life as it was at the time of the Industrial Revolution. Nearby is the RAF Museum at Cosford, and the beautiful village of Much Wenlock which has now been recognised as the birthplace of the Olympic Games model. And all around is the glorious countryside and sights of Shropshire, surely one of the UK's most undervalued counties.

    Lots of places to eat.

Lots of places to eat. Good shopping centre within easy walk of hotel. Need to know your way around a roundabout and ring road the traffic system takes a bit of getting used to. Friendly people in stores although some had problems with my Scots accent and my Scots money. Great breakfast at Gatehouse and its served until Noon so you can have a lie in. Lovely scones in the M&S cafe in the shopping centre.

We had a great room on the first floor which was fully kitted out with a kitchen, utensils, table, chairs, sofa and private bathroom.. We only stayed one night as we had a gig at k.ks steel mill but this was a perfect location and only a 10 min walk to the venue & city centre. The room was spotless, had a good powerful shower and Jay the manager kept us fully informed. We often visit Wolverhampton so would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed previously and absolutely love the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of safe off road parking. Convenient for local bus routes and taxis into city centre less than £10 a trip. Bathroom very spacious and clean. The hotelier is an absolute pleasure and always a very happy gentleman. The hotel is full of quirkyness and has age related characteristics.

Good location for The Halls (a couple of minutes walk way). Stayed for one night with a friend for a gig. We had a triple room that was a double bed and sofa bed, so we each had our own bed. Reasonable price including breakfast. Good sized car park on site (cheap at £5 for 24 hours), although only 3 spaces left on arrival at 5pm. Reasonable breakfast.

conveniently placed for my meetings, about a 20 minute walk from the railway station and close to the town centre. The hotel staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast is good and much better value than most other hotels. The first place I book for my business trips to Wolverhampton.
